Must haves:

" Microsoft Office

o Excel Basic knowledge

v-lookups, formulas, pivot tables and basic analytics

" Import/ Export

o Basic knowledge of transportation ( someone that understands import/ export)

o Some knowledge of international shipments that can communicate with our, carriers, brokers, and compliance team.

" Detail oriented with strong communication skills.

" Knows how to use Adobe Acrobat

" Able to multitask

This position is 8am- 5pm CST and onsite.

Job Description:

The Senior Logistics Specialist will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment.

Primary responsibilities include:

Coordinate and optimize all inbound, domestic, and outbound Shipments for facility

Creation of shipping documents (P L, Pro forma invoices) in Oracle, FAD (for U.S. shipments) and the finished goods inventory level

Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Continuously work on cost cutting action of all fields of Logistics activities

Identify and reduce cost and process variation by developing strategy and applying Six Sigma tools and tactics

Define, Product and select projects that will positively impact Logistics Cost

Conduct regular project reviews with project leaders and champions to assure accomplishment of key results

Communicate progress, status, and issues to champions, cross-functional teams, and business leaders

Lead a team of logistics project coordinators to meet or exceed customer schedule and delivery requirements

Monitor and update team plan to schedule and coordinate equipment

Drive formal project reviews prior to shipment to ensure all deliverables have been met on time and under budget

Ensure that critical milestones for projects are noted, recognized and met in both time and costs

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma GED with at least 3-4 years of experience in a logistics role)

Prior experience in managing change, implementation of new processes

Strong problem solving, quantative, and analytical skills

Ability to lead and direct multi-functional teams

Ability to work in high stress situations

Strong planning program management skills with forecasting capabilities

Six Sigma training

Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines

Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
