Job description
Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a ALM Admin for a Right to Hire assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Coppell, TX or Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities :
Reporting to Direct Delivery (DPO COE) organization and support engineering project teams on ALM tools related topic such as tool roll out, configuring tools to project and business needs and training.
First point of contact for user management, troubleshooting, co-ordination with IT on ALM tool related topics.
Micro Focus ALM Admin
Responsible to administrate QC server licenses.
Responsible to creating new users.
Responsible to create new projects.
Usage Monitoring and reporting.
Quality Center Customization support.
Work closely with all engineering domains to support on ALM tool related topics.
Support PMT organization to deploy current and new tool suites to engineering projects.
Develop training material and train users on using the ALM tool per the process.
Develop training material and train team on how to support ALM tool for user community.
First point of contact to users on ALM tool related topics i.e., tool usage, issue resolution, etc.
Support users by creating tool related scripting and automation of repetitive tasks.
Support engineering teams to extract charts and dashboards from the ALM tools.
Support Configuration Manger, Change and Problem Resolution manger to monitor and extract audit reports from the ALM tools.
Pilot new tools, perform tests with IT organization before upgrade or new tool roll out.
Monitoring
Support multiple projects across different time zones.
Administrative tasks for Application Maintenance
Microfocus QC / ALM / Octane installation, upgrade and environment design
Migration of projects to latest version of the application
New patch implementation
Validation and verification of the upgraded environment and projects
Microfocus QC /ALM / Octane project creation and maintenance
Monitor and proactive management of centralized shared tools services such as license servers, databases, application services and infrastructure that underpins these.
Integration with other Microfocus and 3rd Party tools with QC / ALM / Octane
Administrative tasks for implementing MF QC / ALM functionality
Experience implementing new functionality.
Customization and configuration of the project as per the project requirement (user roles, project entities, Alerts, Workflows etc.)
Designing and developing workflows and configurations
Development of template projects and cross project customization
Customizing within the dashboard/reporting module
Identify, analyze, and mitigate project and operational risks.
Ability to coordinate activities with various technical teams (network, database, and architecture) to structure solutions.
Development and communication of tool usage and best practices
Understanding and developing SQL queries
Required Skills:
Minimum of 6 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Ability to work effectively across functional and geographic boundaries in the interest of the customer and business
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience in V B scripting and Microfocus QC / ALM OTA API
Knowledge of macro creation

Proven verbal and written skills to communicate / report both technical and non-technical audiences.
