Job Description

The Manufacturing Intern will support the operations team by assisting with material procurement, sample collection, and compliance tasks. The intern will gain hands-on experience in supply chain management, safety procedures, and quality management systems within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering materials required for production, including raw materials and consumables, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and delivery schedules
  • Collect resin samples from production lines for quality testing and analysis, and work with the quality control team to ensure samples meet required specifications
  • Document sample data and maintain logs for traceability
  • Order chemicals required for various plant operations and ensure proper storage and handling
  • Track chemical inventory and usage, and assist in maintaining safety data sheets (SDS)
  • Compile and organize production data and documents into monthly production folders, and ensure that folders include all necessary records such as production schedules, batch records, and quality reports
  • Assist in reviewing and updating LOTO procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Participate in safety audits and provide feedback on LOTO program improvements
  • Support the quality team in reviewing and updating ISO procedures to reflect current practices, and assist in the preparation for internal and external ISO audits

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and safety procedures is a plus
