This is a Safety Sensitive position must be able to pass drug screen and background screening.

Job Description:

Materials manager to work in building materials wholesale environment to oversee all the activities in the organization related to ordering, receiving, storing and distributing materials, equipment, supplies and products.

Candidate must be able to occasionally travel to any of our 7 locations

Review inventory management process for suspected gaps in internal control procedures.

Manage process for return of damaged materials, returns, & warranty claims.

Reviews the Material Planner Workbench/MRP for future requirements and plans accordingly to prevent shortages.

Monitors and follows up on all purchase orders issued to ensure compliance with quantity, specification, quality, delivery, and pricing

Manage various supplier relationships to ensure the company is receiving needs and pricing commensurate with demand

Collaborate with customers and sister company to stream line supply chain

Inventory Specialist Requirements:

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor's or associate's degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar

Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role

Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies

Experience conducting tracking and data analysis

Product and inventory management certification a plus

Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software.
