Job Summary

We are focused on taking our firms to a new level of success in the Annuities market by adding a Business Development position to assist them in identifying and closing new opportunities as an external wholesaler.

This expertise along with excellent communication and presentation skills will be used to drive sales by assisting our sales professionals (owner-firms) in identifying opportunities within their existing relationships and beyond. In addition to assisting existing firms in driving sales, this position will also be responsible for identifying new firms, whose current focus is on the Annuities market, to join Lion Street.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales professionals to identify opportunities within their existing relationships for all types of annuities: Fixed, Index, SPIA, RILA, VA and advisory products
  • Work the opportunity alongside the sales professional providing the subject matter expertise when speaking with and presenting to the client
  • Ability to "close" the deal with the client
  • Maintain broad knowledge of life insurance products as it pertains to resources, products and strategies to support Annuities sales
  • Maintain highly responsive and proactive relationship with sales professionals
  • Facilitate and contribute to projects related to the advancing the Annuities market for Lion Street owners
  • Work with Lion Street carriers and alliances to leverage existing product experts and resources to assist owner-firms where applicable
  • Present and speak at various Lion Street and related meetings and calls
  • Provide overall expertise and support to Lion Street projects and its owner-firms
Primary Skills & Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in the Annuities and life insurance industry
  • Broad knowledge of life insurance carriers and products offering Annuities solutions
  • Experience with how life insurance products can be designed and utilized to meet the needs of clients in the business and executive benefit markets
  • Experience in analyzing and preparing presentations that address the clients' needs
  • Effective communication skills including writing, speaking and presenting technical analysis to clients and sales professionals
  • Motivated and willing to take initiative, exhibit creative thinking and take ownership of cases/projects
  • Strong desire to provide excellent results
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-moving company environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
