Position Overview
Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards procedures and maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements through to effective PM program, justify and manage Capital investment to ensure business capacity expansion, work with all departments to allocate office space according to needs, ensure appropriate installation for new equipment and/or layout modifications. Ensure compliance with all quality systems regulatory requirements such as, but not limited to, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820,
What you will do
Ensure optimum production operations by setting work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
Assign technicians to perform Preventive Maintenance Schedule duties and monitor documentation of same per S.P.
Direct Maintenance operations: day-to-day and special projects.
Design, specify, and order materials and equipment needed for all non-contracted building construction, installation of new machinery and equipment. and relocation of equipment.
Troubleshoot and coordinate all facilities systems and equipment (access / alarm systems, HVAC, furniture, etc.)
Specify, purchase, and supervise the installation of equipment and/or devices to replace or upgrade obsolete or antiquated machinery.
Ensure a proper stock of spare parts.
Supervise the maintenance of the fire protection and building security systems.
Assist Production with specification, selection and purchase of tools and supplies.
Establish rapport with contractors to ensure that priorities schedules and specifications are maintained.
Coordinate construction projects, facility build outs and electrical modifications.
Ensure facilities compliance to all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements including OSHA, FDA, ISO 13485, local building code, etc.
Support company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures, quality system regulations (21CFR820, ISO 13485).
Coordinate disaster recovery for entire facility including clean room.
Maintain the facility interior/exterior in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
Respond to emergency facilities situations (e.g. power outage, broken water line, security breach, etc.) on a 24-hour basis.
Supervisory responsibilities
Provide input on the following:
Training and/or coaching of employees.
Planning, scheduling, or reviewing the work of others Evaluating the performance of employees.
Hiring of new employees.
Initiating disciplinary action.
Termination of employees.
Skills for Success
Electrical or mechanical engineer BS
5 years' experience in electrical, HVAC, Chillers.
3 years' experience with pneumatic/hydraulics.
Preferred Education and experience
Electrical License
5 years electrical in industrial maintenance.
