Job description

Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.

Position requires the IT Asset & Licensing Administrator to manage IT software entitlements, compliance and renewals for software and hardware assets utilized throughout the company. Manage software and hardware asset lifecycle to minimize risks and control costs. Perform software licensing audits at the request of software publishers. Represent IT in process improvement review (PIR), identifying areas for efficiency improvements and operational cost savings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain the software asset profile for software licenses assigned to individual users, mobile devices, laptops/workstations and servers.

Responsible for oversight of software license compliance and licensing life cycles with understanding of different licensing types/methods.

Responsible for Support/Interface with vendors for recurring IT infrastructure invoices and vendors

Engage in detailed data analysis/research to validate licensing compliance, user license entitlements to ensure overall company software compliance and minimizing licensing costs.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that customers software and hardware needs are met.

Must be focused on customer needs and deadlines to prevent service issues from occurring

Document issue resolution using the service desk ticketing system.

Ensure that the maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed in advance of their expiration

Reviews and negotiates pricing with vendors and service providers.

Perform secondary coverage duties related to IT procurement and other duties related to IT Asset, Maintenance & Procurement Coordinator.

Respond to and complete IT licensing audits in timely fashion

Identify issues with existing assets and license processes and procedures and take corrective action

Work closely with IT Security, Network and Systems, Applications, Customer Service and BSA teams to ensure proposed or purchased software meets business requirements

Improve processes and tools associated with asset lifecycle management to minimize risk and cost to organization

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business or IT technical/management or AA with 2 years experience or 4 years equivalent related experience with extended knowledge in software/asset licensing, compliance and tracking.

Strong understanding of IT systems and applications.

Maintain strong vendor relationships

Knowledge of software asset management processes including software licensing, compliance practices and software contracts.

Ability to reason, plan, direct, and evaluate situations to make appropriate recommendations for the procurement of suggested products

Must display tact and self-discipline necessary to interface effectively with coworkers, customers, vendors, and all levels of management build culture of trust.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, while effectively focusing on priority issues while staying within service level agreement targets.

Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of ERP business systems to facilitate procurement process.

Excellent customer service skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Outlook and Excel skills

Ability to create, document, and follow processes and procedures.

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Must be able to work in confined spaces for long periods.

Hybrid work schedule may be available
