Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
Reporting to VP, Controller, the Sr. Accountant is responsible for all aspect of accounting and will aid leadership with accounting related tasks. This member will serve as a key member of HaloMD's Accounting department by performing general accounting tasks on a daily basis for expense and balance sheet accounts, providing reconciliation and analysis assistance. This individual should possess a high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ideally a medical accounting background. In addition, the Sr. Accountant will assist the Accounting Team by taking responsibility and assisting in Accounting tasks or projects that increase efficiency of Accounting Department to strengthen the team
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily posting and reconciliation of cash using analytical tools
Maintain financial reports, treasury records and general ledger accounts
Complete month-end close procedures to prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
Liaising with billing group to reconcile
Bank reconciliations and cash management, fixed asset management and depreciation, payroll accruals and expense recognition (salaries, bonuses, and payroll taxes), intercompany accounts and loan management)
Follow all internal controls processes
Assist in the preparation of all federal and state tax documents
Assist with external audits
Researching relevant tax and accounting issues
Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review and report preparation
Additional tasks and projects as necessary
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
3+ years' experience with significant accounting responsibilities
Skills/Specialized Knowledge:
Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or reprioritization of projects
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word
Experience with Sage is a plus
Other Requirements:

Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis
Physical and Mental Demands:
This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
