Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will be a key player in our financial reporting and accounting operations. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements, and will involve developing and maintaining best-practice accounting procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end general ledger activities, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and support budget and forecast activities.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Executive Team and other managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and other ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
Primary Skills & Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in PC and strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. Must be comfortable working with pivot tables, VLookups, and complex models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • CPA certification and Sage experience are preferred.
