Job description

The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking board-certified/board eligible hematologist-oncologists for melanoma, lung cancer, and breast cancer. The individuals selected will be academically oriented and appointed to the full-time faculty as either an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the School of Medicine at Vanderbilt University.

Seeking Melanoma, Lung Cancer, and Breast Cancer Faculty

The successful candidate(s) will have experience in caring for patients with melanoma, lung cancer, or breast cancer with interest and/or experience conducting clinical trials in these diseases.

Junior faculty and new fellowship graduates will join the faculty and receive dedicated mentoring in clinical research, and experienced clinical researchers (Associate or Full Professor level) will have opportunities to mentor junior faculty and fellows in these areas, and may have additional leadership opportunities as well.

The selected individual(s) will work closely with the Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and disease group section leader to further develop a clinical trial portfolio, and conduct clinical and translational research. For melanoma and lung cancer candidates, there is potential to rise to melanoma group section leader.

The ideal candidate(s) will be a dedicated clinician, clinical researcher, who would enjoy participating in a robust training program of residents and fellows, and growing to a top-notch research program in lung, melanoma, or breast cancer.
