Adelphi is seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join a school district in Memphis, Tennessee. The Nurse will provide comprehensive health services, promote health education, and maintain a safe environment. They should be compassionate, student-focused, and collaborate well with staff, parents, and healthcare providers.Job Quick Facts: Ref #: BD-640-01 Profession: Nurse Specialty: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Location: Memphis, Tennessee Facility Type: School Coverage type: On-site Schedule: 183 days - 7.5hrs/day Start Date: N/A Term: 1 year Pay Rate: RN - $30 LPN - $22 Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma Valid RN/LPN license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing First Aid, CPR/BLS and AED Certification Must have pediatric experience Responsibilities: Mandated screenings and assessments within 45 days of the childs enrollment. Direct nursing services to assigned students, based on the individual students educational need, health care plan and physicians orders. Medical treatments to assigned students, based on the individual students educational needs, health care plan and physicians orders. Provide information as requested by the Early Childhood staff as well as participate in parent conferences and IEP meetings. Provide, and track sessions of approved health education awareness presentations-appropriate documentation is required and expected. Respond to emergencies and provide medical attention when needed. Accompany/assist MSCS Health Services Lead Nursing Staff on issues regarding absenteeism, health conditions, and other health concerns when warranted. Accompany students on the bus during field trips if needed. Develop an electronic comprehensive list for chronic health conditions and health services monthly activity reports for each assigned school- Required and expected. Conduct and assist MSCS Health Services, Lead Nursing Staff with the reporting and the control of communicable diseases and immunization audits in assigned schools. Provide documentation according to established MSCS guidelines pertaining to care of parents/guardians or visitors using standard documentation tools, policies and practices.
