Job Description:

This position requires a deep understanding of our facility's treatment program, philosophy, admission process and criteria, as well as knowledge of various aspects of alcoholism, drug abuse, and dual diagnosis.

Position : Primary Therapist

Location : Norris, TN

Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine clients' mental health and substance abuse treatment needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' strengths, needs, and goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities.
Provide individual therapy sessions to clients, utilizing various therapeutic approaches to address substance abuse and mental health issues.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, focusing on topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, trauma, family dynamics, and life skills development.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and integrate treatment services, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, documenting all interventions and outcomes accurately and timely.
Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health or substance abuse issues.
Educate clients on addiction, mental health disorders, and the recovery process, promoting understanding and engagement in treatment.
Collaborate with external providers, such as psychiatrists, physicians, and community resources, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to enhance professional growth and maintain quality standards.
Stay updated on current research, best practices, and emerging trends in substance abuse and mental health treatment, incorporating new knowledge into clinical practice.
Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or LADAC in the state of Tennessee.
Minimum of two years of experience providing therapy to individuals with substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities for substance abuse and mental health treatment.
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with colleagues and external providers.
Understanding of trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity in working with diverse populations.
Proficient in documentation and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries, handle crisis situations, and prioritize workload effectively.
