Job description

Working with a well-respected, quickly growing Truck equipment company that is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Shop Foreman/Lead Technician. Excellent customer service skills a must. Preferred applicants will have a minimum of 2 years management experience or a combination of 5 years diesel repair and service management. Very competitive pay and benefits.

Shop Foreman/Lead Technician:


  • Operate as Lead Technician in the shop, providing training and direction to other technicians.
  • Lead the diagnostics and troubleshooting on more difficult repairs.
  • Work on customer equipment - primarily ag equipment - Class 8- Med/Heavy Duty Trucks
  • Train Service Staff using best practices in customer satisfaction and brand promotion
  • Develops, maintains, and adheres to a priority system for scheduling all service work, both customer and internal
  • Manager work order systems, including invoice logging, and generate service invoices
  • Schedules and assigns job and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner at all times, inside and outside the dealership.
  • Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 1st or 2nd Shift
  • Must be open to relocation

Shop Foreman/Lead Technician Requirements:


  • High School diploma/GED required (Associates/Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • 4 years as Service Tech/Mechanic
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Being able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, sense of urgency and handle people and pressure
  • Being able to lead a small team of technicians
