Key Responsibilities
Identifies and prepares patients for X-ray exams.
Performs diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures for patient care population.
Operates modality-specific and technical equipment for patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
Uses critical thinking principles in making decisions while following the company's policies.
Knowledgeable about radiology equipment and ensures its proper operations.
Shielding techniques and careful positioning of patients can minimize patients' exposure to radiation during X-ray imaging.
Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatment.
Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements.
Always ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
Perform office procedures, including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipment.
Required to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volume.

Required Qualifications
Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational program.
Must have American Registry of Radiologic Technologists credentials in Radiography (R).
Must have South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCQRSA) credentials.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Good communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and patient management skills.
Ability to use EMR and PACS and basic knowledge of computer programs.

Expected hours: 40 per week

Urgent care or office type setting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
SCRQSA (Required)
