Job description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to coordinate and facilitate communication and collaboration among multiple cross-functional teams working within the NIWC Atlantic CSSP program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic cybersecurity environment. In addition, the candidate should have a solid understanding of Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) operations and cloud security strategies, as well as experience supporting defensive cyber operations in IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS environments. Responsibilities: Serve as Scrum Master for multiple cross-functional agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives). Ensure all tasks are documented, prioritized, and scheduled within the team's workflow. Develop and maintain Gantt charts for technical alignments with Subscribers to the CSSP. Coordinate these alignments to guarantee seamless integration with CSSP services. Guide and coach teams in Agile best practices and ensure proper application of Agile/Scrum processes. Remove impediments that prevent teams from achieving sprint goals and continuously improve team productivity and quality. Work closely with Product Owners, ensuring backlogs are prioritized, well-groomed, and ready for the next sprint. Foster communication and collaboration between teams and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of goals, requirements, and delivery timelines. Help teams to stay on track with their commitments by identifying and addressing dependencies and risks early. Track and communicate agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown) to teams and leadership, ensuring transparency on sprint progress and areas for improvement. Drive a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives and process evaluations. Assist in coordinating cross-team dependencies and integration points, especially in larger programs or projects involving multiple teams. Aid in the development and upkeep of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards. Lead Scrum-of-Scrums for all CSSP scrum teams and help implement the Scaled Agile Framework throughout the CSSP. Requirements Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience functioning as a Scrum Master Proficiency in managing cybersecurity engineering teams Excellent lving and analytical skills Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong technical documentation skills Extensive experience of executing project management principles and tools, including Gantt chart creation Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment leadership and team management skills Preferred Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other Agile scaling frameworks. Experience with ITIL processes and practices Familiarity with Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) operations and defensive cyber strategies for cloud environments. Required Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus. Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master or Agile leadership role, with at least 2 years in a Scrum of Scrums or similar position, ideally within a cybersecurity or cloud environment. Demonstrated experience leading multiple Scrum teams in a large-scale program, preferably in a CSSP or cybersecurity context. Experience with cloud security, defensive cyber operations, and supporting IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS environments. Must have a Secret clearance to start and obtain TS Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or similar Agile certifications. SAFe certification and CSSP-related certifications are a plus.
