Lighthouse Therapeutics is looking for a Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Required credentials:
Graduate of American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) accredited school of occupational therapy.
Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.

Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for the pediatric population in the Sumter clinic and in the natural environment covering Sumter County area. A full caseload is already available which means the COTA can set their own hours, allowing for a very flexible schedule.

Essential Functions:
Under the direction of the licensed or registered occupational therapist, optimizes functional abilities and skills of patients in facilities by: assisting in screening and initial evaluation of all patients; implementing treatment for all assigned patients; delivering treatment according to the established treatment plan; accurately documenting progress toward objectives and communicating patient status and needs to the patient, the patient's family, the staff and other professionals.
Maintain confidentiality of Lighthouse Therapeutics, LLC, facility, and patient information.

Qualities:
Team Player.
Communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized oral and written presentations of information to patients and staff.
Listening, reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports, charts, and correspondence.
Effective clinical problem-solving skills (e.g. identify and prioritize issues in a responsive manner, develop sound and innovative action plans, execute action plans on a timely basis, ensure appropriate results, etc.)

Abilities:
Performs all other duties as assigned by Management.
Patient lifting using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a workday/shift; must be capable of easily lifting (50) pounds of dead weight alone.
To walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a workday/shift.
Fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing and key stroking for charting, scheduling, daily correspondence, and handling of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

Benefits:
Pay starting at $32.00 per visit with experience
Medical, phone, and gas monthly stipend for full-time employees
Monday- Thursday with Friday off
