Sr. Structured Cabling Technician position open in Greenville for a professional with 4+ years of experience in commercial / industrial infrastructure solutions. Perceptive Recruiting is representing an established Engineering Services provider who is looking for a senior level technician to join their team. This position would spend most of their time working in the Upstate but would be required to occasionally travel to clients' sites across the east coast. The Sr. Structured Cabling Technician opening is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with health, dental, and vision insurance offered during the contract period.

Required Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot all structured cabling issues that arise with minimum to no supervision

Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5/6 cable. Perform tests with testing equipment

Install and terminate racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF/IDF, workstation outlets, firestopping, etc

Ability to read blueprints, follow manufacturer's instructions, and operate in a self-managed environment

Experience with a variety of lifts and understanding of ladder safety

Able to meet deadlines and meet customer expectations and quality of work

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience troubleshooting structured cabling and commercial/industrial low voltage systems

Knowledge of the ANSI, TIA, EIA, and BICSI cabling standards, along with the NEC standards

Experience with networking, IT security, access control, communication systems, and environmental control systems is a plus

Must be available to work flexible hours to accommodate client schedules with some overtime and overnight travel

Occasional weekend and holidays required (pay premiums apply)

Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 75lbs
