The company is in search of an Assistant Project Manager who has hands-on experience in these key sectors. Note that the role may involve travel up to 4 hours from downtown Greenville, with the nearest project being approximately 1.5 hours away.

Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Top 150 ENR GC - Greenville, SC will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all project resources from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery in a collaborative setting.
  • Managing and guiding personnel development.
  • Setting job expectations, enforcing company policies, and mentoring team members
  • Leading regular team meetings to ensure projects stay on schedule, adhere to budget constraints, and meet technical, safety, and legal standards.
  • Acting as a strategic problem solver to enhance project outcomes.
  • Potentially collaborating with the pre-construction team during project development.
  • Handling budget management and financial reporting, interpreting and analyzing financial data to maintain budget adherence.

Profile

The ideal Assistant Project Manager - Top 150 ENR GC - Greenville, SC for the Assistant Project Manager will have the following experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in construction with a general contractor.
  • Preferably 4 or more years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with ground-up commercial projects, including education, healthcare, and detention centers is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 hours from downtown Greenville is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Software is advantageous.
  • A strong grasp of industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • A professional demeanor and business-oriented mindset when representing the company.
  • Local candidates are preferred, but relocators will be considered.

Job Offer

The successful Assistant Project Manager - Top 150 ENR GC - Greenville, SC will receive:

  • A competitive base salary based on experience, approximately $70,000-90,000
  • Discretionary bonuses.
