Job description

Accounts Receivable Manager

Responsible for specific functionality (such as those processes comprising denial management) within the daily management of the Central Billing Office, ensuring optimal use of all resources, to achieve departmental goals for productivity and practice goals for applicable financial results. Determines workflow priorities and effective methodologies to complete tasks

Responisbilities:

Coordinate workflow and oversee daily billing activities.

Manage and direct day-to-day activities of revenue management and estimating teams to maximize productivity and quality.

Manage the closing of each month to ensure billing revenue meets or exceeds sales forecasts.

Ensure all client invoices are processed in accordance with client billing standards and deadlines.

Work with collections on daily basis to ensure timely payment from clients.

Review collections reports to ascertain payment status, outstanding balances in order to evaluate effectiveness of collections procedures.

Reconcile all A/R related accounts.

Provide analysis of sales and collections.

Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with internal work groups and clients.

Document and escalate any enhancement requests that will increase productivity and/or cost saving.

Determine and monitor red flag/fraud criteria and appropriate communications to organization of suspicious account/people as facts arise.

Implements appropriate action to collect delinquent accounts, including legal suit, 3rd party collections, holding of shipments, etc., as required - negotiate payment plans as needed.

Arranges notes receivable, security instruments, Letters of Credit, Guarantees, UCC filings if needed.

Develop and collaborate a positive working relationship with sales and cross-functional departments, understanding sales relationships and department goals

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree is preferred in accounting, finance or related field.

5 years related experience in a similar credit role, including 2-3 years' experience in a management role.

Post-secondary education in business or related discipline preferred. Attained or actively pursuing credit designation (CCP) a plus.

Understanding of accounting principles.

Experience with customer negotiations.

Microsoft Excel - intermediate level preferred, Microsoft Word & Outlook.

Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic.

Experience working with ERP and Accounting systems (Epicor, Mincron a plus).

Familiarity with credit reporting agencies, trade suppliers, collection agencies.

Knowledge of federal and state compliances of keeping all information safe.
