The Superintendent - Healthcare - Charleston will be responsible for:

  • Oversee project schedules, timelines, and key milestones.
  • Lead and manage construction teams, subcontractors, and other personnel.
  • Provide direction and leadership to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Communicate project goals, updates, and modifications to all stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and construction teams.
  • Conduct regular meetings to assess project progress and address any challenges.
  • Enforce quality standards for construction work, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Perform inspections and quality assurance evaluations.
  • Implement safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a secure working environment.
  • Utilize expertise in construction methods, materials, and techniques to ensure project success.

Profile

The Senior Superintendent - Healthcare - Charleston should have the following experience:

  • 10+ years of construction experience with a general contractor.
  • MUST possess prior healthcare or large-scale commercial project experience exceeding $25 million in scope.
  • Proficient in concrete and structural steel construction.
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage and inspire construction teams, subcontractors, and personnel on-site.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate project expectations, updates, and changes to relevant parties.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving issues that may arise during construction, such as delays, design modifications, or unforeseen challenges.
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, techniques, and local building codes and regulations.
  • Dedication to fostering a safe work environment.
  • Ability to track expenses and identify cost-effective strategies to keep projects within budget.
  • Experienced in creating and managing construction schedules to ensure timelines are adhered to.
  • Familiar with construction contracts, capable of interpreting contract documents, negotiating terms, and enforcing requirements.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and construction teams.
  • Proficient in resolving conflicts and disputes among team members on the job site.
