Job Description

CHEP Services is hiring Pallet Repair Operators for our location in Beech Island, SC. Are you familiar with the use of nail guns and reciprocating saws? Do you have construction experience? Can you perform the position's physical requirements, like repeatedly lifting and moving around 75 pounds throughout the day? Are you focused on safety, are you reliable, and customer driven? What would Pallet Repair Operators do?

Uses a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets.

In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place.

In an assembly department takes stock boards and nails together based on type of pallet desired.

Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.

Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time( 8- 10 hours )

Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, always adhering to company safety procedures.

What do I need to apply for a Pallet Repair Operator role?

Must lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs, with hand-eye coordination and endurance.

Must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years of previous experience with handheld power tools in a work setting.

2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.

AVAILABLE SCHEDULES

Starting pay $17/hour

Team one: Wednesday - Saturday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Team two: Sunday - Tuesday: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and one shift Wednesday from 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
