As a Clinical Psychologist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population.
This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs. We seek a full-time and part-time licensed Psychologist for our North Kingstown, RI location (opportunities also available in Barrington, Lincoln and Warwick).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting moderate to severe social or mental behavior problems
- Involves patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriate
- Conducts individual, family or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelines. Option to develop and provide time-limited psycho-educational groups or ongoing therapy groups
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree, PhD or PsyD, in clinical psychology from an APA-approved graduate school
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist for practice in Rhode Island
- 1+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
- Proven ability to commute to the location in-person
- Hybrid (onsite and remote)
- Dual licensure in neighboring states
- Significant experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical setting
- Experience providing direct psychotherapy in both individual and group settings
- Knowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventions is highly valued
- Proven comfortable completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical setting
- Proven comfortable working in an outpatient clinical setting
- Proven ability to participate in enriching the training experience of our graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
- Proven ability to represent the practice in community presentations and lectures (if desired)
- Proven ability to continue to expand your ability to educate and treat a wide range of patients
- Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues treating different members of a family
- Proven ability to form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinating care with external providers
