Job description

Are you a compassionate, energetic Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a career in an orthopedic private practice? We are looking for someone to help us make life long relationships with patients and their families as we assist them in achieving their health and wellness goals through physical therapy!

Your day to day duties would include

modalities
therapeutic exercise
manual therapy
daily documentation in a team setting with the Physical Therapist
Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
Read instructions from Physical Therapist
Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
Complete administrative tasks, like scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
Teach patients techniques like balance training

Indirect supervision helpful but not required.

Graduate of an associate degree/two-year Physical Therapist Assistant Program approved by Commission for the Accreditation of Physical Therapist Assistant Education
Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania
Indirect supervision license preferred but not required
A person who demonstrates the physical and mental capabilities (practical &/or written, post training competency test) to perform the duties required of the position
A person who can meet the physical demand level of the position

PHYSICAL DEMAND CAPACITY:

Consistent with published industry PDC norms or minimally:

Requires the manual dexterity and general strength and endurance
Liftingroutinely loads of 5-35 pounds from
Floor to waist
Waist to shoulder
Shoulder to overhead
Carryingroutinely loads of 5-10# for 40-50
Pushing-routinely loads of 5-150# on casters, runners or pulleys
Sustaining a grip-routinely for 1-2 minutes of 40-50#
Guarding a lift load routinely of 120-140#
