Job Description:
Hybrid, 3-5 year's experience in cost accounting in the pharma industry
3-5 years if they meet degree requirements.
5-10 years if they do not meet degree requirements.
They will be upgrading to new version of SAP, managing two different systems, moving data from old to new, costing, adding new products, day-to-day reporting and reconciling, coordination with production teams.
Must Haves/Required Skills:
Pharma industry
Standard costing various versions of SAP tools Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related.
5 years of industrial accounting, costing, and SAP experience.
This role performs standard to slightly complex cost accounting duties and maintains cost accounting processes and systems.
Produce standard cost accounting reports (e.g. depreciation, labor, equipment reports) and prepare standard journal entries and participates in the annual budgeting process by assisting operations management in the completion of their budget inputs, review of spending, staffing, production and capital plans, and completion of the budget templates. Work independently under general supervision and direction and is subject to review solely for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy.
Candidate is required to make decision and exercise consistently independent judgment and discretion.
This position will be critical to relieve the site controller from their duties to better engage in corporate accounting projects as well assist the site controller in ad hoc queries in support of the corporate accounting projects.
This position is responsible for closing and reporting activities for both the US and the Consolidated P&L on a monthly basis.
Assists in the planning and organization of the financial activities within the sites (e.g. budgeting, controlling, cost of goods computation, reporting, accounting, financial systems, policies & procedures.
Makes proactive recommendations on business and financial improvement including financial processes. Support ad hoc initiatives, projects, assignments.
Maintain working relationships with site, regional, and global multidiscipline operations and finance personnel and management.
Ensures strong monitoring of the Financial KPIs to actively contribute to achieve the defined objectives for his/her perimeter (added value/activity, write-offs, financial impact of technical master data, POV analysis, expenses, labour efficiency, headcount (RHC & APH) and local and regional/global metrics).
Key contributor to the finance monthly closing and reporting process.
Calculation of Capitalized Variances and major balance sheet and P&L classifications.
Deliver accurate reporting and provide meaningful variance analysis. Manages the financial systems architecture (SAP, TM1, etc.) for all SP M&S US sites, including system implementations, process improvements, internal controls & data integrity. Investigates improvement of systems and processes within SP M&S US and the North American M&S network.
Education and Experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related.
If the degree requirement is met, 3 - 5 years of industrial accounting, costing, and SAP experience is acceptable.
