Details:
The Director of Aide Services works under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services and is responsible for assigning and overseeing aides, as they provide care to residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans and as directed by nursing management. Duties include but are not limited to:

Provide strong leadership to our aide team. Mentor and develop aide staff, provide ongoing training and education to enhance their skills and knowledge

Oversee the day-to-day operations of our aide staff. Responsible for overseeing the creation, management and maintenance of schedules for aides in conjunction with the aide coordinator

Ensure that charting is completed by all aides

Implement policies, procedures, and best practices for operations

Support, build, and sustain a diverse team who successfully and consistently deliver on objectives and goals

Ability to communicate clearly, establish and maintain effective relationships with team members to problem solve in an educational and cooperative manner

Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records

Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws

Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; and maintaining licensure

Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice with one year of experience under license

Current CPR Certification

At least 1 year experience in leadership required

Previous hospice experience preferred

Previous experience as a CNA preferred

Works well within a team environment to collaborate daily with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.

Work closely with patients on a 1-1 level but get strong support from a patient care team.

Can work independently and on your own from a day-to-day basis with activities which include: phone, email and written communication, meetings with a variety of healthcare professionals, and an understanding of hospice rules and regulations.

Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
