Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Quality Supervisor to oversee daily quality operations in our food manufacturing facility. The Quality Supervisor will ensure that all products meet established quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.

Description

  • Creates and initiate SOPs.
  • Supervise and lead the quality control team to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA programs, including inspection methods, testing protocols, and evaluation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP) and company-specific quality guidelines.
  • Conduct routine audits of production areas to verify that quality and sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Investigate non-conforming products or processes and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Review and analyze quality reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Train and develop team members on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and other departments to address quality concerns and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all testing and inspection equipment.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, ensuring all records are complete and compliant.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts related to product quality and customer complaints.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, FDA, and USDA standards.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a quality control or assurance environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and food safety systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with QA software.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
