Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Agile, Scrum) II - Application Development who will be responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects.
We are looking for an individual with passion for delivering a best-in-class customer experience, with attention to detail, teamwork/collaboration and Project Management/Deployment Management skills for applications. This individual will join the deployment team to help identify and implement opportunities for deployment scalability and efficiency as well as manage project success and stakeholder relationships.
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project planning, deployment management, post deployment day-of-job support and customer management (updates/communications/escalations.) The candidate will work as part of a team and lead installation schedule planning, documenting and rescheduling fallout/failures, monitoring scheduled job times, and adjusting work schedules to support the field teams.
The candidate will be responsible for quickly achieving fluency with the platform, solutions, underlying technologies, operational toolsets, features, and product portfolio. Critical thinking and attention to detail, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and experience with complex technology products and delivery in a fast-paced environment are all key requirements for success.
Key Accountabilities:
Project-manage all tasks surrounding the successful scheduling, equipment ordering, installation, and post installation field support for current and future customers and a broadening portfolio of Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications.
Track project details including outstanding deployments, deployment failures, deployment successes, customer feedback, job scheduling and equipment tracking.
Identify field trends. document, and work with appropriate stakeholders to determine appropriate resolution(s) including but not limited to field troubleshooting, product enhancements, and installation process updates
Establish, nurture, and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external customers, vendors and third-party service providers
Coaches individuals in Agile processes and tools
Provides status reporting on project key performance indicators (KPIs), schedule, resources, and milestone delivery
Develops the program strategy, supporting business case and various enterprise-wide, high-level project plans
Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business
Responsible for enacting Scrum values and practices, ensuring the correct use of Scrum process
Communicates with IT leadership, business leadership, and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction, and changes
Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget, and meeting the strategic and business requirements
Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers
Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise
Manages specific new technical service engineering programs to meet broad service/product objectives
Establish milestones and monitors adherence to plans and schedules, identifies delivery risks, and obtains/drives mitigation strategies and solutions
Coordinates across multiple engineering/development teams as needed
Serves as a conduit between deployment and engineering to ensure requirements and design considerations are incorporated to improve deployment and sustainability of software and services
Required Skills:
5 to 7 years Project Management experience in an Agile environment.
Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or other related field-or equivalent work experience.
Project Management certification is required
Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills conducive to team development; able to work well in cross-functional teams.
Experienced Scrum Master who will exhibit agile leadership and a deep understanding of what it means to conduct oneself as a servant leader.
Proven experience in a technical project or product management role and large-scale solution deployment. Prior experience with large distributed systems, networking, wireless technologies, IoT devices and applications highly preferred.
Extremely strong attention to detail, with an ability to absorb, analyze and coalesce large volumes of data to make critical business decisions and lead massive-scale projects.
Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and concepts pertaining to enterprise cloud architecture and networking, big data, software applications, and embedded systems.
Ability to thrive under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple parallel initiatives and prioritizing as needed.
Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, while also being able to deliver results autonomously and with a certain level of ambiguity when needed.
Strong business acumen and knowledgeable across many functional areas, including product management, business development, and product/project deployment.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and work cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization.
Strong Microsoft Excel experience required
Experience with Salesforce and Jira a plus, but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with teammates, internal stakeholders, customers and vendors alike.
Ability to actively listen and engage empathetically with customers and teammates, while always maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
