Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading Trauma level I regional integrated healthcare system hospital in Philadelphia, PA, to identify a visionary and experienced Section Chief of Pulmonary Medicine. This leadership role is pivotal in shaping the future of the Pulmonary Medicine department at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric pulmonary medicine, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and a passion for advancing patient care and community well-being.

Position Highlights:

Leadership and Vision:

Oversee daily clinical operations and medical staff management.

Create a compelling vision and strategic direction for the department.

Provide leadership in addressing operational challenges and implementing effective solutions.

Program Development and Implementation:

Design and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.

Actively participate as a physician within the practice, contributing to clinical excellence.

Develop and deliver practice-oriented educational programs for staff and trainees.

Mentorship and Quality Improvement:

Mentor and train clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives, championing evidence-based practices and data-driven decision-making.

Recruitment and Growth:

Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top-tier physicians and nurse practitioners.

Manage expectations, duties, and activities of physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Education and Licensure:

MD or DO degree.

Unrestricted PA medical license.

Graduate of an ACGME Pediatric Residency.

Board Certified in Pediatrics.

Graduate of an ACGME Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship.

Experience:

5+ years of clinical experience in a pediatric outpatient practice.

3+ years of experience in practice leadership and change management.
