Job description

The FFT (Functional Family Therapy) Clinician provides intensive home and community-based family therapy to children and adolescents displaying social, emotional and/or behavioral disorders. Clinicians work with families to change how youth function in their natural setting while following a specific model that promotes positive social behavior and decreases anti-social behavior.

Some job responsibilities include:

  • Completes all training and actively participates in required supervision and consultation in accordance with program and agency guidelines.
  • Handles all administrative duties such as chart documentation, billing requirements and other necessary paperwork consistent with licensure, accreditation, funding sources and CGRC technology reporting requirements.
  • Conducts all assessments including biopsychosocials utilizing program principals in order to assess client and family dynamics.
  • Provides therapy services to promote exploration and understanding of personal and interpersonal dynamics.
  • Develops effective and timely treatment goals with measurable objectives that are sustainable for families.
  • Records all case progress notes in order to maintain accurate history of treatment events and client progress.
  • Meets program expectations regarding authorizations and productivity.
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders both internally and externally.
