Job description
Role Summary:
Free People Movement is seeking Senior Designer - Performance Bras and Legging to be responsible for the ideation and development of Bras and Leggings for a multitude of activities including but not limited to Pilates, Yoga, Running and Court Sports. The Senior Designer will focus on the creation and design of our performance sports Bras, Leggings and close to body assortment in collaboration with cross functional team partners to identify what important to our consumer and where to drive newness and product excellence within our assortment.
Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Designer collaborates with Design, Merchant, and Product Development partners to identify and create new product concepts within the active apparel and accessory space that support business needs and future growth. These initiatives are inclusive of but not limited to:
Understanding the FP Movement Customer's needs to identify potential opportunities in our assortment and develop recommendations related to innovation in new technologies, fabrications, and details.
Identify opportunities within garment constructions and other details that enhance product performance.
Validate, test, fail, test and define each concept by collaborating with Merchant and Product Development teams in our timelines.
Research and present findings on new product concepts, activities and potential for innovations in product/category offerings that align with the FP Movement customer and brand vision.
Address impact level of low, mid and high support driven by activities of sport in our Sport Bra assortment. Define the end use and drive excitement in new materials and features defined by activity in Leggings and Sport Bras.
Respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions.
Develop and present creative ideas that express FP Movement's point of view in the market without being too obscure.
Support a focus on longer lead time raw material and trim ideation for future concepts on bras and tights to show newness and excitement to the seasonal offerings. Manage to milestones as required.
Work with cross functional partners on presenting back key developments to leadership and cross channel teams to incorporate and develop plans to execute within our business.
Skills:
Creative Vision: Demonstrate creativity, vision and the ability to identify trends in Performance Activewear space for Bras and Leggings in their early stages and understand their impact to fashion, so we can be one step ahead for the aspirational active customer.
Strong ability to influence, pitch new ideas and create buy-in with leadership, teams and cross functional partners.
Skilled in creative collaboration within the brand, alongside external partners and athletes.
Strong ability to visually convey ideas.
Proficiency in the Adobe Suite.
Ai Visualization programs a plus
Role Qualifications:
10+ Years Design experience with a focus in Activewear, Performance Bras and/or Leggings, Activewear Innovation or related area of business preferred.
Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of the FP Movement Customer and identify the most meaningful and appropriate initiatives for this specific customer in Performance Bra and Leggings.
Passion for Performance.
Experience in Research and Development with a clear understanding of future technologies and trends, performance foresight for the future of FP Movement
