Description

Please see the key responsibilities for the Director of Accounting Below:

  • Produce accurate and timely financial, analyzes monthly financial results and provides commentary on variances.
  • Lead the annual corporate audit and other periodic audits.
  • Possess and maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal and state laws in all areas of accounting.
  • Manage the cash flow to ensure financial stability and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information.
  • Responsible for the establishment and effectiveness of internal controls and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Profile

  • Public / Private Experience.
  • 5+ years Public Accounting Audit Experience.
  • 5+ years experience owning P&L and Audit responsibility of a distribution or manufacturing company.
  • Experience leading local, state, federal tax filings for multiple legal entities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • CPA/MBA preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP and knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
