Organization Overview:
Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, Inc. (Avid RP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company, is a molecular imaging company developing diagnostics and biomarkers that improve global health by accelerating the development of new medicines and enabling a tailored approach to healthcare.
Purpose:
This role will be accountable for strategic planning and coordination for all medical imaging education, including reader training, with an overarching goal to help the medical affairs team improve patient outcomes. The Director will implement a medical imaging education plan targeted at identified medical strategic priorities by identifying education gaps, development of content for various education activities, and ensuring the delivery of resources on time with high quality.
Responsibilities:
- Formalize medical imaging education goals and objectives that align with business unit strategy
- Identify, develop, and create high quality imaging, reader training, and/or disease state-related educational content as needed for various audiences and congresses/meeting; ensure content aligns with related policies and overall strategy.
- Collaborate effectively across functions with an active contribution to medical planning and strategy.
- Proficiently engage in scientific discussion with internal and field-based medical colleagues and share key learnings between parties.
- Develop expertise on material creation, storage, review, approval processes, and data dissemination. Ensure that appropriate reviews and approvals are gained prior to use
- Support project plans and tracking key deliverables for the assigned diagnostic area. This includes an overview of project schedules/timelines, budgets, and plans for project quality, resources, communications.
- Identify evidence-based healthcare gaps and create CGAs to leverage IME to address those gaps.
- Identify barriers to success and develop new processes to optimize workflow
- Represents and serves as liaison between internal/external content creators and field medical partners.
- Advocate for the following: Adult Learning Principles, best practices in assessing Instructional Design, and identifying /assessing innovative educational programming
- Manage medical communication vendor contacts, and scope of work and ensure timely delivery of content for use
- Scan healthcare environment and analyze emerging trends to identify education gaps
- Serve as point of contact and coordination for medical imaging education and reader training.
- Support the planning of congresses and symposia, advisory board meetings, single advising activities, and/or the facilitation of other meetings with health care professionals.
- Establish and maintain appropriate collaborations and relationships with the general medical community, thought leaders, and key organizations.
- Serve as Medical Imaging Education consultant for AD platform activities (customer plan, IEGs, brand plan, CCGs)
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in relevant scientific discipline and 0+ years of relevant experience, or PharmD or Masters degree and 2-5+ years of clinical and/or industry experience in imaging or biomarker science
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of principles of adult education and instructional design preferred
- Experience in neurology/neurodegeneration, oncology or other areas.
Additional Information:
- Must be willing and able to travel within the USA and international up to 50% of time.
- This position can be Philadelphia or remote-based
- Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $117,000 to $171,600 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate's qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
