Job Type: Full-time 35-hour a week

About the Role

Onus Talent is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator (6-Month Contract) on behalf of a client. Under general supervision, the Accounts Payable Administrator will analyze, verify, and reconcile accounts payable records and perform related duties as required or assigned. This role involves planning, organizing, and participating in accounts payable operational activities using automated financial and procurement systems. The administrator will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of automated data, coordinating with various departments to maintain account payables records, and reviewing final documents in vendor close-out packages for accuracy and payment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and maintain automated data, implement policies and procedures to ensure data security and integrity.

Coordinate with various departments and maintain account payables records.

Review final documents in vendor close-out packages for accuracy and payment to vendors.

Participate in the analysis of accounts payable activities and provide technical advice as needed.

Ensure compliance with applicable guidelines in the payment process.

Maintain confidentiality of work-related issues and information.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

Interpreting and applying accounting rules and regulations.

Reviewing and analyzing financial records and reports.

Interacting effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers.

Operating a personal computer utilizing standard and specialized software.

Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

Required Knowledge

Generally Accepted Accounting and Auditing Principles for public sector financial administration.

Methods, procedures, and standards for record keeping and records management.

Education and Experience Required

A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum two (2) years of experience in financial management or analysis, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
