Job description

Duties You will maintain an education and training record for every employee within the site's contracting workforce. You will prepare justification and supporting documentation for staffing plan changes. You will prepare written and oral responses to inquiries both within and external to the agency on various issues such as staffing, organizational structure, and budget. You will collect data from assigned systems, prepare reports, and distribute the reports to the appropriate personnel within the department. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. This is a bargaining unit position. Qualifications GS 7: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Assisting management with maintain and updating an employee's record and providing administrative support for an organization; 2) Using Microsoft Office or similar software to create reports and/or spreadsheets; 3) Complying with prescribed regulations for handling, storage, retention, and disposal of contract files or official records; and 4) Effectively communicating orally and in writing, including preparing correspondence, reports, graphs, charts, and presentations. GS 9: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying the principles, concepts, and methods of automated systems and processes to perform or assist in duties involving procurement and contracting; 2) Preparing written and oral responses to inquiries both within and external to the agency on various issues such as staffing, organizational structure, and budget; 3) Using computer applications, principles, and techniques including the ability to develop and implement new automated systems for control and support of resource Management processes.4) Effectively using written and oral communication sufficient to prepare and present findings and recommendations, carry out specific actions regarding controversial issues, and/or selling or implementing new ideas and concepts. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS 7: I have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education. OR I have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement. OR I have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. GS 9: I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR I have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree. OR I have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled. OR I have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
