Job description

Our client located in the greater Philadelphia area is looking to hire a Senior Accountant who will report to the Accounting Manager and owner of the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting operations and the ability to work independently with integrity. The position will pay up to $150K with benefits. The position is in office M-F with some flexibility as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Record recurring and non-recurring journal entries

Periodically meet with the Accounting manager/CEO to collect/review invoices, report financial results, and forecast expenditures

Oversee employees' payroll processed by third party payroll provider and communicate any necessary adjustments

Collect and maintain vendor W9 forms and process for year end

Maintain a record of capital expenditures using MS Excel and reconcile to the general ledger

Record any Trust activity to the general ledger and track assets between principal and income

Process invoices for payment and review to avoid any duplicate payments

Maintain a detailed filing system in SharePoint for the all records

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in accounting Required

7+ years of accounting experience

Strong foundation of GAAP

Experience in MS Excel and Microsoft Dynamics/Office 365 software products

Good communication verbal and written communication skills, ability to organize, prioritize and multitask

Must be professional, diplomatic and keep financial information in confidence at all times

Trust accounting experience a plus
