Primary Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Putaway Operator responsible for driving a stand up forklift/reach truck, while working with RF technology, to put-away received pallets into various warehouse locations.

Essential Functions:
Moves levers and presses pedals to drive forklift/reach truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus

Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxed products, or materials and transports load to designated area

Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device

Inventories materials/supplies on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed

Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device

Retrieve stock from inventory and prepare for shipment in accordance to customer/vendor requirements and distribution processes and procedures

Complete out of stock orders when required

Operates material handling equipment to move, convey, or hoist cartons from picking area to the dock

Utilizes voice-directed and/or RF hand held unit to "pick" and finalize customer order on-line

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Related warehouse experience is highly preferred.

Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

Support and contribute to the overall goals of the Operations Department.

Takes initiative and works well independently.

Able to meet goals under tight time constraints.

Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers and management.

Follow safe working practices, as instructed.

Physical Requirements:

The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
