Responsibilities:

What you'll be challenged to do:

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is hiring an entry level AutoCAD Technician for Ebensburg, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience in AutoCAD design, and an interest in learning and working on diverse project assignments which may include both aviation and civil engineering aspects. The proposed candidate will be expected to learn various design standards such as ArcGIS as well as transition between ArcGIS and AutoCAD. AutoCAD aspects that the individual should be knowledgeable in include alignment tools, grading tools, profiling, pipe networks, surfacing tools, and corridors. In addition, the individual should be familiar with and willing to learn the use of Microsoft Office products for the production of construction documents. The individual may be asked to preform printing and plotting duties including replacing paper in printers and binding project manuals. The individual will be called on to work closely with other teams on multi-disciplinary projects. The designer will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects in a unique work environment.

Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):

Analyzes information and data to perform routine design tasks.

Prepares plan sets of project drawings.

Responsible as a member of the design them for accuracy of design and plans, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and efficient conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards.

Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and manpower, resolving conceptual design problems.

Keeps Team Leader informed of workload and any changes in project schedule or scope or additional services.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.

May be asked to participate in non-CADD activities such as field data collection and report preparation.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
What you bring to our firm:

High School Diploma

College level coursework focusing on AutoCAD

Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

What we'd prefer for you to bring to our firm:

Previous experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D design

Microsoft Office working knowledge

No relocation or stipend assistance
