The Senior Director, Operations - SLPG is responsible for providing administrative and strategic leadership within their assigned management portfolio. Leading directors and practice operations managers, they are responsible for the overall operational direction, quality, and execution of care. In collaboration with senior leaders and their dyad partners, they will identify, plan, manage, and coordinate various strategic and operational initiatives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the management of daily practice operations within an assigned management portfolio.
In collaboration with senior leader(s), leads the development and execution of strategic plans.
Identifies, recommends, and implements strategic projects that support growth, efficiency, and optimization of services.
In partnership with physician dyad partner(s) and/or senior leadership, ensures consistent workflows and clinical processes across all practices.
Develops marketing strategies to grow awareness of practices and offerings.
Ensures appropriate staffing and management to support practices within management portfolio and provides guidance and recommendations on organizational structure as necessary.
Cultivates a high functioning team build on the principles of the St. Luke's culture and PCRAFT values through the utilization of deliberate bi-directional engagement and communication forums/channels (regional/Divisional/Departmental forums, etc.)
Manages employees and providers as assigned, providing development and coaching in partnership with senior leader(s) and physician dyad partner(s).
Clearly understands and drives improvements to financial performance, collaborating with senior leader(s) as the primary financial resource of assigned management portfolio, ensuring compliance with reporting and appropriately collating and prioritizing capital needs while ensuring appropriate stewardship of allocated capital funds.
In collaboration with physician dyad partner(s), senior leader(s), and Provider Recruitment, leads efforts to identify, develop, validate, and prioritize short and long-term recruitment needs, develop recruitment strategies, manage interviews, and select candidates.
Collaborates with direct report(s) to ensure timely and meaningful provider onboarding and orientation.
Partners with senior leader(s) in the identification, development, review, and implementation of provider compensation plans.
Reviews monthly Capacity Management Report for management portfolio, validates outcomes from prior strategies and decisions, and evaluates new opportunities to improve access.
Maintains and ensures positive collaboration, a focus on continuous improvement, and streamlines workflows between practice operations and the Access Center.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting up to 6 hours a day. Standing up to 4 hours a day. Walking up to 4 hours a day. Continual use of fingers and hands to manipulate objects. Lift and carry objects up to 15 lbs. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Must be able to hear as it related to normal conversation and high/low frequencies. Must be able to see as it related to general, near, far, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business administration, or a closely related field required.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Three to seven years of similar experience. Previous management of a multiple practices preferred.
