Overview
Rahns Construction Material Company, a partner with the H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Floating Portable Plant Operator for our site and portable plants. In this position, youll provide smooth operations of plant equipment and provide the correct mix design, slump, and requested quantities per hour. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, action oriented, and customer focused.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Communicate with customers, inspectors, and company personnel to provide a smooth and efficient daily operation
- Complete and maintain accurate daily and monthly inventories of raw materials
- Complete plant preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Participate in weekly meetings
- Produce quantities in excess of 200 cubic yards per hour while maintaining consistency
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
- Six months of experience with concrete batch production
- Knowledge and skill in the operation of batch plant equipment and software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Problem solving
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, during periods of high demand
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
- Knowledge and skill in the operation of Stevens and/or Rex Model S batch plant equipment and Command batch and/or RC3 software
- One year of experience with concrete batch production
- OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
