Job description

BlackRock Resources is seeking candidates for a Staff Accountant opportunity with our manufacturing client in Canonsburg, PA. This role will be worked fully in office, and candidates must be willing to travel to Philadelphia once a month to assist with accounting functions with this location.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Controller with the day-to-day, monthly and year end operations of the Accounting department including month end close and preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules

Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, and general ledger accounts

Assess customer credit limits and handle any related shipping issues

Issue credit memos

Prepare and file applicable state sales tax returns

Assist Controller with financial audits

Perform back up duties for Accounts Payable and Payroll

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

5+ years' experience in accounting or related field

Proficient in Word and Excel

Strong written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of ERP (Syteline) and manufacturing

Cost accounting experience a plus
