Will lead strategic initiatives to enhance performance of primary financial services functions and identify potential new financial systems and processes that support financial efficiency. Works in collaboration with finance division leadership and external consultants in support of various initiatives including support, implementation, and optimization of a new ERP financial and supply chain management system powered by Workday. Responsibilities include optimizing change, financial operations, and ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals. Will partner with Human Resources in development of leadership and their teams to support optimization of performance and growth within the finance department.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the CFO in defining the finance division transformation implementation plans with appropriate input from finance division leaders.
Assist the CFO in managing, organizational changes, financial system implementations, and process improvements, etc.
Identify process improvement opportunities, efficient structural alignment of the finance division, and cost efficiency.
Develop a plan for implementing the finance division's ongoing transformation, including:
Manage, implement, and optimize the ERP system for finance and supply chain management.
Evaluate existing financial processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas of impact based on the ERP implementation roadmap.
Lead change management efforts within the finance division to ensure senior leader and staff alignment.
Streamline and automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
Support implementation of best practices and industry standards.
Lead the adoption of new financial technologies and digital transformation.
Ensure seamless integration and data accuracy.
Provide leadership support to promote enhanced quality, engagement, confidence, and competencies within the finance workforce including, but not limited to:
Executing the SLUHN performance management process.
Identifying and assisting in the development of high potential finance talent.
Ongoing support for the employee engagement survey process.
Leading leadership succession process in collaboration with Human Resources.
Manage change by leveraging the existing culture.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to seven hours per day and for up to three hours at a time. Frequently uses hands and fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands. Uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to ten pounds. Rarely stoops, bends, or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision, and visual monotony.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Required: Masters Degree in Financial or Health Administration Field
Preferred: CPA
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
10 years progressive experience in healthcare financial management required. Prior health system/hospital CFO experience preferred. Hospital operations experience preferred.
