CV Resources is recruiting for a permanent Senior Accountant role on behalf of a well-established client in the wholesale distribution industry. This company offers a collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth and promotion from within.

Role Overview: The Senior Accountant will be a key part of the finance team, focusing on daily accounting operations, General Ledger (GL) management, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager on various accounting projects and involves collaboration across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the General Ledger, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Apply accounting standards and conduct FASB research as needed.
• Train new staff accountants and assist with departmental projects.
• Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end reporting, including preparation of audit schedules for year-end close.
• Prepare financial reports and variance analyses for management review.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and attention to accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.

• Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week in the office (weekdays 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
