Job description

HCA Solutions is looking for Full-time Pharmacy Technicians to be staffed for Veterans Affairs (VA). Pharmacy technicians are needed for two locations:

1. VA Portland Health Care System located at 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, OR, as well as;

2. VA Vancouver Medical Center located at 1601 E 4th Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA

These locations are within 13 miles of each other; therefore, all applicants will be considered for both locations.

This is a W-2 position with long-term placement and includes medical benefits and paid time off. and paid holidays.

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for prescription preparation that includes but is not limited to filling and dispensing prescriptions for both inpatients and outpatients. This includes affixing proper labeling on medications, checking stock for expiration dates, using automation or robotic equipment such as Scriptpro, ScriptCenter, Omnicell, Scrip talk, TCGRx Eyecon, cart filling on nursing floors, mixing non-hazardous, and hazardous intravenous medications, performing automation replenishment, and answering patients or nurses concerns in person and on the phone and fulfilling customer service needs. Pharmacy Technicians will be expected to make deliveries to wards in the inpatient setting.

- Will comply with all HIPAA and federal regulations. Patient safety, privacy and information security will be a top priority for all personnel. Required documentation shall be completed timely and in accordance with hospital policy. Each duty shift, the staff member shall review his/her VA Outlook e-mail for policy and procedural updates and general communication. All personnel are required to comply with VA mandatory annual training requirements. It is anticipated that all personnel shall be able to complete all mandatory annual training requirements during scheduled duty shifts.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Pharmacy Technicians are required to be licensed by PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).
All licenses shall be full and unrestricted.
Applicants must submit evidence of current, full and unrestricted licenses, registration, certification, and/or other relevant credentials for verification along with resume for consideration.
Must submit evidence of valid BLS.
Proof of all vaccines including TB, Influenza, Hep B and C titer.
