Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in conducting geological and environmental assessments, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from site assessments and remediation to environmental impact studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments.

• Perform hydrogeologic evaluations, soil, and groundwater contamination assessments.

• Develop and implement remediation plans for contaminated sites.

• Conduct field investigations, including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and geological mapping.

• Prepare technical reports, environmental impact statements, and compliance documents.

• Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

• Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data analysis and project management.

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA).

• Provide expert advice on geological and environmental matters to support client decision-making.

• Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Professional Geologist (PG) license in California and/or Washington.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in using GIS software and other geological modeling tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
