Join an outstanding multi-disciplinary team including an on-staff psychiatric team and licensed clinical staff. Klamath Basin Behavioral Health is an accredited NHSC facility.

The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Supported Employment Specialist Summary:

Are you passionate about helping individuals achieve independence and success in the workplace? We are looking for a dynamic Supported Employment Specialist to join our team, where your impact will be measured by the positive outcomes you help clients achieve in their journey to competitive employment and personal recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Success in Employment: Use the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model to help clients secure competitive employment in the community. Measure your performance by how well clients achieve and sustain employment.
  • Comprehensive Client Support: Assist clients with career profile assessments, job development, and all phases of job-seeking and retention. Performance will be evaluated based on your ability to provide consistent support throughout their employment journey.
  • Case Management Effectiveness: Your role includes providing case management to ensure clients have access to insurance benefits, medical care, and social services. Success will be measured by your ability to navigate complex systems and help clients access necessary resources.
  • Skills Training Impact: Deliver impactful training on topics like medication management, budgeting, communication, and community navigation. Performance will be assessed on client progress and independence in these areas.
  • Community Integration & Family Support: Facilitate community integration and foster the use of natural supports. Success is gauged by client engagement and family involvement in the recovery process.
  • Crisis Management & Advocacy: Use your de-escalation and advocacy skills to effectively manage high-risk situations and support client goals. Performance will be measured by your ability to maintain client safety and well-being.

Qualifications & Certifications: Must meet Oregon State (OARS) requirements and MHACBO certification as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA).

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field or a combination of three years relevant work, education, or training.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and personal automobile insurance required.
