Job description

Artech is looking for a Front-End Web Developer to manage web projects and maintain a Fortune 500 company website supporting every aspect of website management and development. Web authors edit and code the website with new content, updates, fixes, and clarifications. Web authors work primarily in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Drupal, but are also responsible for maintaining and updating pages outside of the AEM environment which utilize XML and JavaScript.

The web developer will need hands-on experience providing consultation and leadership on implementing accessible websites. They will be responsible for providing web authoring support to multiple clients by developing, supporting, or modifying web sites by using the processes, tools and techniques approved for web development within the web environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:




  • Be able to provide technical consultation and self-project manage effort. Should be able to define next-steps and solution alternatives.

  • Must be a proactive leader on UI and web accessibility issues. Be able to identify solutions, provide pro's/con's, and be able to implement those solutions.

  • Resource will work from report provided by 3rd party identifying accessibility issues, will help prioritize issues and identify solutions

  • Strong communication skills, be able to present ideas clearly and concisely

  • Will work closely with multiple stakeholders, 3rd parties, and departments

  • Must be comfortable work independently, providing leadership, and being a lead consultant for web accessibility effort

  • Strong front-end developer with HTML, CSS, JavaScript experience 3+ years' experience

  • Understands, recognizes, and implements good UI standards

  • Accustom to working with defined brand standards

  • Familiarity with Adobe AEM preferred, must be comfortable working with content management systems

  • Job will also include content updates

  • Efficiently manage personal task queue to meet SLA requirements.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Attend weekly meetings concerning upcoming tasks.

  • Escalate any issues to Team Lead, Web Coordinator, Web Project Supervisor, or Web Operations Manager.





OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THIS POSITION:

Reports directly to designated manager or lead.

Overtime should rarely occur

Resource will work on an company issued computer

HIRING REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

Bachelor's in CS, CSE, EE, Marketing, or in a related field

Mastery of: JavaScript, HTML, using HomeSite or other non-WSIWYG editing tools; Photoshop

When requested, there may be some Flash development including externally-called (link removed) XML files, and databases

XML experience

Demonstrable knowledge and experience with:

Version control software (Documentum, CMS)

Knowledge, and application of, quality assurance processes

Defect tracking tools

Strong customer management skills and ability to understand, translate and define complex technical requirements and recommend solutions based on those requirements.

Proven client interaction or consulting experience

Attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
