Urology Physician Locums Job in Oregon Details/Requirements for Assignment : Start date: ASAP emergency privileges available - OR licensed required Clinic & OR coverage In addition to clinic & OR coverage can assist with call but not required Clinic: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Average of 25-30 patients per day in clinic Clinic support staff: 3 MA s and 1 offsite Practice Manager NP sees the majority of the new patients, MD does mostly post-op follow-up visits Typical schedule: Monday Day Surgery; Tuesday Hospital OR Day; Wednesday 8-Hour Clinic Day; Thursday, 4-5 Hours in Clinic; 4-5 Hours Day Surgery or Hospital OR; Friday Hospital OR Number of cases per OR day varies, depending upon complexity, but anywhere from 5-10 cases 132 beds trauma level 3 EPIC EMR Will consider multiple providers to cover schedule Robotics for prostatectomy and nephrectomy use Da Vinci Xi Cases in clinic: new patient for BPH, prostate cancer, renal cancer, chronic UTI testicle pain, urinary incontinence Typical cases seen during call: Kidney stones, catheterization difficulty, occasionally bladder or ureter repair when damaged during other surgeries. Many times, the physician is called to place a foley or stent during clinic hours, runs over to the hospital and does this, then returns to seeing patients in clinic Typical OR cases: Stent, ureteroscopic stone extraction with possible laser lithotripsy and possible stent placement, ESWL, BPH treatments: greenlight PVP, Urolift (not essential for locums, but this is a large part of our surgery basis), partial and complete nephrectomy, simple or radical prostatectomy (with robot) Jackson and Coker offers:
