Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Pharmacist to join our dependent pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn, be a part of a team, and eager to develop skills in pharmacy operations and business development, with a passion for improving patient care while driving the pharmacy's success. As PIC, you will oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing workflows, and contributing to the growth and profitability of the business. We have a connected team of pharmacists and techs that communicate daily with one another. There is support at every turn from the most experienced and seasoned pharmacists to those newer to the profession. Our company offers a path toward ownership if that is desired and embraces new grads as we have a great support system and oversight to help develop skills!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

- Oversee all pharmacy operations, including staffing, inventory, and patient services.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and operational efficiency.

- Foster a positive work culture.

2. Compliance and Regulatory Responsibilities:

- Ensure the pharmacy complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, including maintaining all necessary licenses and certifications (Central office team supports our PIC's in compliance).

- Maintain accurate records, including patient records, controlled substances inventory, and prescription logs.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and inspectors.

3. Patient Care and Clinical Services:

- Provide high-quality patient care, including medication counseling, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and other clinical services.

- Implement and expand patient-centered programs (e.g., adherence packaging, chronic disease management) that drive patient engagement and satisfaction.

- Build strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers in the community.

4. Business Development and Growth:

- Develop and implement strategies to grow the pharmacy's customer base, increase prescription volume, and expand clinical services.

- Identify and pursue new revenue streams, including partnerships with local healthcare providers, clinics, and long-term care facilities.

- Analyze sales and operational data to optimize inventory management, pricing, and marketing efforts (initiatives are developed as a group).

- Collaborate with leadership to set financial goals, develop budgets, and monitor performance metrics.

5. Inventory and Vendor Management:

- Follow guidance on stocking, and inventory management of pharmaceuticals, OTC products, and medical supplies.

- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, especially controlled substances.

Qualifications:

PharmD or RPh from an accredited pharmacy school.

- Active pharmacist license in Oklahoma with no restrictions.

- Experience in retail pharmacy, preferably in an independent setting but open to training.

- Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to grow and manage a pharmacy business or willingness to learn.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with pharmacy management systems, and knowledge of third-party billing and insurance processing and/or willingness to learn.

- Certification in Immunization Delivery or willingness to become certified.
