Beverage Careers Food Careers Earn an Average Annual Income of $74,000, and an $8,000 Sign-on Bonus (with 1 year of verifiable Food or Beverage Delivery Driving experience in last 5 years) Enid, OK Job Description: The purpose of the DOT Shuttle Driver is to perform pickup and delivery of daily routes to domicile drivers and return empty trailers for reloading back to the warehouse. Perform as a safe and courteous driver and demonstrate BEK principles during interactions with the public. Maintain cleanliness of tractors/trailers used during the shift to ensure the upkeep and overall condition of equipment. Adhere to all FMCSA laws and regulations to demonstrate compliance at all times. Ensure trailers and tractors are adequately fueled and fuel levels are consistently maintained on equipment used at the WHS or shuttle site. Ensure tractors and trailers are brought in for service when needed. Key Outputs for the Driver Shuttle Doubles DOT: Perform as a safe and courteous driver and demonstrate BEK principles during interactions with the public. Utilize extreme care and safety during the operation of vehicles and maintain awareness of the traffic, and other drivers at all times. Always adhere to the traffic laws. Attend required training and follow the Smith System driving techniques Avoid excessive traffic incidents and/or accidents Follow all proper lifting procedures and report any issues that might prevent the driver from adhering to these procedures. Maintain caution and awareness when performing duties around awnings or car ports to prevent accident occurrence. Maintain cleanliness of tractors/trailers used during the shift to ensure the upkeep and overall condition of equipment. During return of empty trailers to the WHS, the driver must unload all returns and put them in the designated area, as well as clean up any debris or sweep the trailer as needed. Report any repeated issues with trailer cleanliness to the supervisor to be appropriately addressed. Responsible for reporting any damage to any unit used to pick up or drop off during the driver's shift. Adhere to all FMCSA laws and regulations to demonstrate compliance at all times. Drivers must study the FMCSA handbook and adhere to any relevant rules or regulations. Maintain scheduled hours and do not exceed available hours of service. Report extra hours of service to the GM or the DOT Compliance Manager. Report any requests that put the driver in violation with a FMCSA rule or regulation to the supervisor for clarification prior to performing the duty. Perform and document inspections. Contact the DOT Compliance Manager to resolve outstanding issues. Ensure trailers and tractors are adequately fueled and fuel levels are consistently maintained on equipment used at the WHS or shuttle site. Completely fill any trailers that need fuel before they are loaded at the WHS or before they are delivered to the domicile site. Report any instances of low or no fuel at the beginning of the shift to the supervisor. Track fuel receipts and report amounts to the designated person after each fuel occurrence. Ensure tractors and trailers are brought in for service: Perform and document inspections as required by FMCSA and Ben E. Keith. Notify Truck Shop of defects found to allow adequate time to route in for service Knowledge and Experience - The following are education and experience requirements for the Driver Shuttle Doubles DOT: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred At least 1 year of DOT driving experience required Valid Class "A" CDL with Doubles endorsement Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations required Ability to read and interpret rules/guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions Good computer skills Ability to learn internal applications i.e BC and POD equipment Able to work outside in extreme temperatures (cold and hot) Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Self-starter with ability to multi-task Ability to work in fast-paced environment Customer-focused Ability to prioritize tasks Driver safety is important to Ben E.
