Job Summary Provides administrative leadership and oversight of assessment and coordination of accreditation activities aligned with Central State University's mission and strategic initiatives, assessment activities, and accreditations. Guides and supports the assessment of student learning outcomes and academic program reviews and analyzes and disseminates assessment data among university constituents and stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and coordinates strategic assessment programs, projects, and activities campus wide. Develops and establishes operating goals, policies, and procedures for the assessment office, as appropriate under the guidance of the Vice Provost for teaching, learning, and Professional Development. Recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. Supports continuous academic program assessment (curricular and co- curricular activities) and improvement of student learning through consultation, mentoring, and hands-on training of faculty and staff. Leads the development, organization, analysis and reporting of student learning outcomes and related activities to support planning activities. Promotes internal and external communication of assessment results. Supports the ongoing development and implementation of comprehensive outcomes assessment programs for academic and administrative units that support the goals the University Strategic Plan. Participate in the collection and analysis of various assessments data to support departmental accreditation and program reviews, including dissemination of results and assisting others with understanding and appropriately use them. Interpret assessment findings and prepares an annual assessment report to summarize such findings, with particulars emphasis on the quality of the assessment efforts and findings, that influence institutional decision making and policy development. Provides strategic advice and consultation to leadership in development, implementation, and evaluation of modifications and enhancements to exiting operations, systems, and procedures. Assist with assessment and institutional effectiveness activities needed for compliance purposes and for Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation and other college- and/ or program-level specialized accreditations. Assists curricular, co- curricular areas and administrative units in research, data collection, analysis and loop - closing related to program assessment, outcomes, and impact. Records, stores, manages and disseminates confidential and sensitive assessment data, as appropriate. Leads and supervises office personnel, to include work allocation, training, and problem resolutions: provides performance management feedback as appropriate. Recommends and participates in the development of university policies and procedures: May serve on planning and policy- making committees. Manages assessment reporting software. Coordinator and/or provides faculty/staff training for the use of assessment reporting software.
